The Varun Story
Varun's exposure to both large-scale consumer electronics (e.g., Apple Watch) and frontier technology (AR Glasses at Google) honed his ability to bridge technical challenges and market needs. After a brief stint as a Product Manager at Noom, he set out to disrupt the growing medical tourism industry by co-founding heva, where he now serves as CEO. Leveraging his combination of product expertise, engineering depth, and international business acumen—along with cultural familiarity gained from extensive travel and work across multiple continents—Varun leads heva's strategic vision.
Héctor Terrero
Co-Founder & CTOSeasoned software engineer and entrepreneur with deep expertise in generative AI, iOS development, and mechanical engineering.

The Héctor Story
Prior to Apple, Héctor held various engineering positions at firms such as Elo Touch Solutions, Taylor Made Systems, and ITT, where he honed his skills in designing complex products, running yield and quality investigations, and managing supplier relationships in global manufacturing contexts. He further expanded his focus on generative AI during his time at Intellisys D. Corp., leading API development for AI Engines used in EHR systems, refining Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) approaches, and integrating ethical frameworks for AI-driven telemedicine tools.
